So we decided to brave it & take Hayden on our annual trip to Yellowstone. For 3 months old he was quite the little trooper. He did great on all the hikes but was not so great when Momma was trying to fish. I caught my first fish of the year on Slough Creek and Hayden chose that exact moment to not just cry but scream cry. I managed to net the fish but needed a little assistance from Adam to release the fish.

Baby, check. Bear spray, check.
The first couple nights we stayed in our pop-up camper at the Slough Creek campground. It was a little chilly but Hayden stayed snug in his sleep sack.
In the mornings I would put him in my sleeping bag to keep warm after taking him out of the sleep sack. He thought that was pretty good stuff.

Who knew a pop-up camper could be a great changing table?
This year we decided to stay a couple nights at the Roosevelt Lodge Cabins. We didn't even know they existed until last fall. Amazing how you can not know there are about 60 cabins tucked away in the trees at the Tower Roosevelt junction. The cabins are really cozy as each one has a wood burning stove with a bottomless supply of sawdust logs. We had a great time & will definitely stay there again.

The porch of Roosevelt Lodge is lined with these rocking chairs. What a great place to sit and relax after a day of hiking.

A great shot of the falls.
